Photos of Spain Gallery – A Few Favourites
Spain is an enormous and varied country and one that I enjoy visiting very much. The people are warm and so is the weather. The food is delcious and there is always something to photograph. The following gallery is a collection of some of my favourite photos from Spain. The locations include Valladolid, Zaragoza, Valencia, Bilbao, the Costa Brava and the Pyrenees. If you are looking for photos of Barcelona, they have their own Barcelona Photo Gallery.

This is one of my favourite images from Valladolid, Spain. We happened upon a religious festival while we were there and several of the balconies had Spanish flags hanging from them. I loved the symmetry of the flags with these two windows.

This is the Plaza Zorrilla near the Campo Grande in Valladolid, Spain. This image was originally pretty flat and boring when I first opened it in PS. It was quite a lovely place however when we visited it in the early morning so I tried to give it a more dream-like quality. I hope it worked!

Right across from our hotel in Valladolid, Spain was an incredible public park. One area of the park contained a rose garden that was inhabited by dozens of peacocks. This one was nice enough to pose regally under the rose arbor for me.

I couldn’t resist the detail in the peacock’s tail feathers that was brought out by the afternoon sun. He was resting in the Campo Grande in Valladolid, Spain.

Windmills dot the landscape of central Spain

The rain in Spain may stay mainly on the plain, but these plains were dry and fertile. I love the autumn colours and the patchwork look of the vast agricultural lands in central Spain.

This ancient Roman city connected Zaragoza and Valencia, so was a perfect stop on our journey between those two cities.

I spotted this gentleman walking below me through the narrow streets of Daroca, Spain.

The Spanish flag was waving majestically in the wind on this beautiful building in Valencia, Spain.

You can still see the results of the bomb blasts in this ancient wall. But I liked how it was jauntily topped by the Spanish flag.

-
I passed this beautiful building in Valencia, Spain several times and made several images of it from different angles. I liked this close-up of the window and balcony the best.

This monastery on Montserrat in Catalonia, Spain is perched among the jagged mountains and affords a truly inspiring view.

The Pyrenees Mountain Range in Northern Spain and Southwest France is stunning at any time of the year. In autumn, however, when the leaves have turned colour, it is particularly breath-taking.
